WOW First Sunday welcomes Pam Dumlao

WOW First Sunday welcomes Pam Dumlao

Sunday, December 4, 2022
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
via Zoom

“Time spent on self-reflection is never wasted. It is an intimate date with yourself.”

This time of year lends itself to spending some time reflecting upon the year past. Post-COVID, sort of. Are things more normal? Has normal changed for you? Recently, I've found myself craving memories of and reminiscing about earlier days. Of marriage, of being a parent, of my personal evolution or transformation, my writing journey, and the like. Reflecting on the past to try to see the future even if the future is just tomorrow. Where does the yellow brick road lead us as we step into 2023? How will we manifest the technicolor of Oz by reaching back within ourselves?

I hope you will join us to look in the mirror, to open yourself up to what is reflecting back, to probe a little beneath the flat surface of the looking glass. What will you find?

Pam Dumlao came to Wide Open Writing in 2015 at our Tuscany retreat as a writer in hiding. She embraced our wide open approach to writing and quickly became a WOW alumni attending several retreats after Tuscany. Upon her retirement from the corporate world, she joined the WOW staff as a business and logistics 'wrangler'. While she enjoys the solitude of writing, the community of writer warriors she has met through Wide Open Writing is what inspires her every day.

Pam is currently building a mountain home in western North Carolina where she looks forward to quiet life in the woods with her husband, Fred, and their golden retriever/great Pyrenees mix, Hudson.
