Robin Gaines works with writers of fiction, memoir, and creative nonfiction. After receiving an MA in Journalism from Michigan State University, Robin worked as a fact checker and research assistant at Rolling Stone. She wrote for magazines and newspapers for several years before focusing on fiction. In 2016, her debut novel, Invincible Summers, was published by ELJ Editions. It received a Shelf Unbound 2018 Best Indie Notable 100 Book and was a runner-up in General Fiction at the Florida Book Festival. Robin’s fiction has been published in Slice, Redux Literary Journal, The Homestead Review, Porcupine, Spindrift, Willard & Maple, Lit Break, Crack the Spine, and others. Recent essays can be found in Dorothy Parker’s Ashes and Minerva Rising. For over a decade, she has mentored young writers, taught writing workshops, and edited novels, memoirs, essays, and short stories. In addition to finishing a second novel, Robin writes a monthly book blog about what she’s reading.
